Real Estate Septic File Acquisition

For most septic systems built in BC after 2003, the Interior Health Authority (IH) stores the records of the design and the maintenance plan, called Record of Sewage System (RSS) and a Letter of Certification (LoC) respectively.  The information in both the RSS and LoC is critical for septic system inspection and maintenance as they each outline the details of the design, the parts used in the implementation, and include a diagram of where the critical parts are located. 

Many systems before 2003 have a much simpler version of the RSS and LoC, but are still relevant to inspection and maintenance activities, and in many cases are enough detail for home purchasers peace of mind.  Without this documentation a Real Estate Septic System Inspection will require a filing update to the health authority, which is a complete reverse engineer design of the system. 

The pdf files from Interior Health will be emailed to you and we can have a consultation call about the system, where I will do my best to answer any questions you may have about the information in the files. 

Unfortunately, this service is based on the cost/effort for IH to do the file search, so their is no refund if there are no files found.
